About Bethe

BetheAbout

Bethe Burns is a sultry, smooth, wide-ranging singer who sings a blend of jazz, blues, pop, swing and latin flavors. She was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn and still carries a little Brooklyn accent with her. She won the New Jersey Pop Vocalist Award in 1980 and went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC.  Along with many performances in NY and NJ, she lived and worked in England, performing in pubs and cabarets. Bethe was a proud member of the all-girl a cappella group, Street Heart, where she sang with the great Doo Wop groups in venues across the East Coast. In the last few years, Bethe met the amazingly talented Vic Schioppo, a nationally recognized piano and keyboard player, and together they formed the Bethe Burns and Vic Schioppo Duo. Most recently, Bethe and Vic joined Steve Riback, Tom Maltese to form Bethe Burns and the Jazz Legends.  Bethe is also proud to offer her cabaret show, The Peggy Lee Songbook, which was well received at McLoone’s Supper House in Asbury Park, NJ last year.

Bethe Burns has brought tons of events to happy clients who enjoy her energetic, emotional renditions of songs.  Enjoy the music!
